Fender Flare Help.

Hey, I am new to the forums. Just got my 2nd Wangler 97 TJ. It has the stock fender flares on it that are way worn and faded. It also has a 2" lift and 31 X 10.5" tires on it. The flares dont stick out far enough (a rock flipped up and cracked my side mirror!)

So I was wondering if anyone could tell me what size of Fender Flares I should go with, so I can get the right look and the right protection.

I did some searching on the forums but did not seem to find anything good, also the customer service from quadratec and JC whitney were no help either!

Thanks!

6 inch flares, what style is up to you!

I only have 31's on mine but didn't want to go to wide with the flares. A rock cracked my side mirror to. Would 6" be to wide?

quadratec actually has a smokin deal on 6" pocket styles right now, about $100 or more cheaper than any other place, unless you go with $hitty Builts those are the cheapest.

Thanks for the info guys. Sounds like 6" is the way to go. Now I just need to wait for a payday.

Time for me to steal this thread :hijacked:

Ok I'm also looking for fender flares and I cant find a 6" stock look fender flares for a reasonable price but I did find a 7" fender flare from Rugged Ridge. The only thing im wondering is if that extra inch might be a little over kill? I'd like to get some of yall's opinions before I spend money on them. I've got 33" tires 12.50 width on a 4" lift. Let me know what ya'll think. :wavey:

I think that 6" would stick out to far, does anyone know what the stock size flares are?

catITguy 08-30-2009 09:54 AM

I also think 6" flares would be overkill for 10.5 wide tires. I have 11.5" wide tires and the 6" warn flares that I bought are about even with the edge of the tire.

Stock I would guess maybe 2"....dont quote me on that though, just a semieducated guess.

I have the rugged ridge 7" flares and I love them. They give me great coverage. I'm running 33x12.50's. For the price you can't beat them. I've had them for two years and they haven't warped. I recently repainted my jeep along with the flares and the paint is sticking great on them.

Look at Rocodile Off Road

Their expedition flares are available in any width you want. And, they are cheap!
