Replacement Webber carb setup problems
We just had a replacement (aftermarket) webber carb installed on a 1989 6 cyl YJ, because the orriginal was cracked, and now the car bogs on starts, and bogs/backfires real bad if you stomp the gas. I know its running way too rich, but how do i fix this? does the carb have jets that have to be changed out or what? How do i go about dialing the mixture in? -Thanks
Webbers need fuel pressure regulators. Our stock fuel pumps give an unsteady 7 psi while the webber needs 3.5 psi. Check the webber site for the model Holley FPR they recomend. It also give instructions on adusting mixture.
