Sorry to sound a little dumb here, but I have never owned a 4 wheel drive of any type and don't know jack squat about em. I just bought a 1998 wrangler no balls 2.5L (does run good tho). Supposed to have 4" old man emu lift, smittybilt tubular fenders, 33" procomp tires with procomp rims. Not sure what all this means, but i get a lot of looks. (not sure if they are good or bad)
My 1st question of many is, I seem to smell exhaust a lot when driving. I have checked the system from front to back and can't seem to find a leak. The muffler is a cheery bomb and the tail pipe is only about 2" long. Could this cause fumes to come up inside the jeep?
Thank you for any help!

Did you Check your ehxuast manifold? Also check where it connects to the exhuast. I know you said front to back but. Also where does you pipe dump at rear, side is it under the jeep a little?

Lets see a pic of this bad boy, sounds nice!

Pics won't load, I'll try a different way. The exhaust ends a few inches behind the muffler. There is a tail piece (tip) welded on right behind the muffler and it ends almost in the middle of the jeep

I checked and couldn't find anything. The exhaust ends about few inches behind the muffler. It has a short tail piece welded to it and it ends right there in the middle of the jeep

I believe you are getting the fumes from the tail pipe if it is not past the tub of the jeep.
I get fumes smell all the time....it is a jeep....

exhaust leaks are common. I would check from the manifold all the way back.

I'll dbl. check in the morning and start all over. And yes I think I may need to extend the exhaust out a little longer. Thanks for the input all.
