Trying to fit 35"
 
I've got what looks like a 2" puck lift, and I'm sitting on 33" tires, i do 98% of driving on road, I've been told my tires should rub only having the puck lift on 33's.

From driving it everyday, I've never heard or felt it rub, then again, I'm not crawling over rocks and flexing a whole lot.

SO! with all this is in mind i want to maybe look into a Body lift?

um, basically, i wanna to look at some of the cheaper options for a mainly on road daily driver who wants 35" mud tires.

so I'm sitting 2" above stock, if i get a 1.25 BL? will i need to lift my engine?

that's the part I'm stuck on, at what point on lifting do i need new shocks, and a engine lift and stuff?


^bold not meaning im yelling :) just important :))

if i did get the 2" + the 1.25 BL, would 35" fit?

Most people will tell you that for DD or even weekend warriors that 32's or 33's are a perfect size tire. I understand wanting the look of 35's, but they come with lots of other issues, like gearing, SYE's and the possibility of doing all of that and still have to chase down Death wobble. If it was a case of needing 35's to meet a trail rating it would be worth it to you but just to drive on the street i would stick with 33's and find some other cool stuff to spend you money on. But if you are dead set on doing the 35's i would guess that most will recomend going with a 4in lift and maybe even a 1in body lift as well as addressing the gearing and other driveline issues. Just my opinion, i would never try and tell a guy how to set up his jeep just some things to think about.

DO NOT do a body lift...it looks like ass!!!!! just save your pennys and do it right, you will regret doing anything else. I laugh at jeeps with body lifts, it is the cheesy way out of lifting your rig

I bet you can get away with a 1.25in bl and fit 35's. We jammed 32's under a stock jeep with the correct rim backspacing with no rubbing. So yea you might actually want to get 35s and then see if they rub. If they do toss a bl on it and then see if it rubs. Keep going one step at a time. In my honest opinion 35's not being wheeled with a 2"puck lift should work. If you wheel it well then you will EAT your fenders something fierce.


To jtalar sometimes tho a BL is needed to put on certain armor and a 1.25" BL you never see. Anything bigger and yes they look terrible.

If your driving 98% on road or daily driver, your better off staying on the 33's.

When you move up to 35's and drive that much wear & tear will start taking effect.
If moving up to 35's you'll need to regear and besides the BL & MML you'll need Adj. Rear Upper Controls to get your pinion angle back in. Also a SYE & CV helps the most to elminate driveline issues.

ok, so after some thought, and taking advice of staying on 33's i realized my jeep wouldnt look any cooler if the "JEEP" is self wasn't high enough.

what im getting at here is ive looked around, other jeeps ive seen/read about or looked at, had a 4" lift and 33' or a 4" + something with 35+'s

the 33's look great with a 4" lift!

but 33's with my little 2" puck lift give it a more subtle stock look.... being a DD on road jeep, thats exactly NOT what i want :))

remember here im 16, whats cooler than looking cool 8) jkjk but

i think a 1.25 BL will give it a better stance keeping it on 33's right?? if i have a 2" puck, and i buy a 1.25 BL will i need any thing else? engine lift? etc. etc.??

think its worth my $$? to get it +)

If your just going for the looks then yes by far the easy way would be to add the small body lift. the 1.25 body should not give you any issues, you will need to drop the shroud around the radiator and most likey add a t-case linkage adaptor but that is about it.

That are 35s with a 2" OME lift and a 2" Bodylift.
For onroad use and light offroad use that was ok.

you can run 35's with a two inch suspension lift.

i have gained better MPG out of this kit as well. i got around 11.9 at its worst to 13.9 at its best before. the last two tanks have been around 14.9-15.5. i drive a LOT of highway, better aerodynamics is what helps out the gain in MPG's.

Skyjacker is not the best.. DW can happen on any lifted jeep...You also will need an SYE and new drive in most cases with 4" lifts.

2k buys a lot of gas... I think something was wrong with your jeep.... as I got 14mpg with 6" of lift 35s and 1-ton axles...no highline kit

Hmmmm interesting... a highline kit for better gasmileage., highly doubtful, but interesting to spend $2k for better gas milage.

33s work fine with a 2" suspension lift and 1.25" BL. I would recommend installing a 1" motor mount lift at the same time also to eliminate messing with the fan shroud and it improves drive line angles. I got mine from Rokmen:

i did not buy the kit for gas mileage, and im not saying that the kit is making that much difference. you have to pull everything off of the fenders to install this kit and maybe i knocked something back into place on the emissions equipment. i installed the kit because i hit a deer a couple months and finally got the insurance to pay for the damages done to the stock body.
