Lately, after a good, hard rain, I've had water pooling up under the driver's side floormat. It's not much, but enough to require a good towel-job to clean it up. If I didn't do that, my Jeep starts to smell musty.
Any ideas why it's coming in? It's only on the driver's side. I have no drips from the top, and there is no water on the door itself. I can't figure out where it's coming from.
Check the hood vent, there's a drain tube that runs down and thru the firewall on the driver's side. If it gets clogged it will dump any water right onto your feet.
The vent mentioned above is on the passenger side.
So, a couple things to check:
The door surrounds are locked in to the frame by the rear of the door and tied in with the factory hand bolts, right?
The soft top OEM, right? If so, the front window frame snaps are lined up and secured?
The door surround channels are snapped in tight?
Pull up your carpet and look in the middle of the drivers part of the tub, about where your left heel would be when you're driving and make sure that the drain plug is in. You'll be able to tell if it's missing as you'll see the ground if the plug is out.
Otherwise, there are a couple of firewall penetrations for wiring on the firewall to verify are sealed...
Is it getting wet just sitting or only when driving?

The soft top OEM, right? If so, the front window frame snaps are lined up and secured? Yes - checked it twice

I found out where the water is coming in from. The water is getting in the window seal and leaking out from the door pannel right on the inside of the tube. I'm guessing I will have to put new seals in by the windows.
Hmmmm... I'll have to check that, moto. That might be the same for me.
