Tow Hooks on JK
I've ordered tow hooks for the front (receiver installed at rear) and will install them myself. Any tips?

There have been a couple of posts on this forum within the last 6 months with at least one good example and closeups. I hope you are prepared to do some cutting into the plastic of the bumper.

Here is the thread that I mentioned. It contains some off topic horsing around but some good pictures of the install.

Whew, makes me happy that mine came with tow hooks when I bought it. Didn't get a lot of the bells and whistles of a Rubicon or Sahara, but at least it came with a basic essential!

Not anxious at all about doing the install. Looks straightforward.

Its not the install...It's just I dont have the tools to do projects like that. haha

I've got tow hooks fore and aft on the '92, never used them. Never had a winch, never needed one, always drive around the problem. Drove down from the top of Lodestone mountain through the forest to Granite Creek (flows into the Tulameen River). Low Range 1st gear. Stopped above the creek and the road alongside to hike down and reconoiter the final part of the descent (avoid cutbanks etc.). No problems.
Have come across fully equipped 4X4s bogged down with no tree in reach of their winch. Drove around the hole hooked up 50 ton cargo strap and helped them out.
