I have a 2001 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 and I'm trying to install my new amp with some new speakers. I'm just not sure if I should drill on the passenger side or run it across to the driver side. The amp will probable go some where in the back. Any suggestions??

I drilled a small hole in the firewall on the drivers side. My amp is mounted behind/under the drivers seat. The reason I didnt go for the passenger side is I read that running the power cable right next to the RCA cables can cause interference. No complaints to date, it has been installed for a few months now and I couldnt be happier with it.

What I did and it was the same place I ran my original cb antenna wire. There is a rubber plug in the center of the firewall I just took a small notch in it and it comes out in the middle of the jeep from side to side. You may see it better from under the jeep or if you look on the other side of the brake booster from up top. On the inside its about 6 inches maybe from the hump of the trans there there is that gap between the foot wells below the dash. and I ran my cable under the center console and came out in the rear. I took my back seat out to feed my twin 1000 watt amps kickin my two 12's on a lil homemade rack that I have my box sitting on with the amps and my capacitor below my speakers. I do have my rca and remote wires running along my power wire (2ga.) and I have no troubles with my audio quality.
When I get back to the body shop ill take a few pictures if you want.
