Keeping Warm in the Winter!
Looking to keep warmer in the winter, This jeep is cold when i head to work (3Rd Shift) I was thinking of putting up a divider in the middle of the jeep from the roll bar down to the floor. So it warms up the cabin faster and keeping more heat in. What are the majority of you guys doing? I was thinking of something like this. Any suggestions are appreciated!

It's part of owning a Jeep. Do you have leaks? The heaters in these things are overkill for a reason. Mine sweats me out.

My YJ Doesnt seem like it throws that much heat. And it doesnt have panel vents, just defrost (Windsheild) and down near the footwell. I still would like somewhat seal half of the jeep off since nobody sits in the backseat.

I think im going to buy this. Ebay # 310178923306

What you think? Will it work for my needs? I know its not air tight but still should keep most of the heat in front cabin

My YJ gets very very hot. I near Cleveland in Ohio, so our winters are fairly cold. Even on the 0 degree days, I had to put the heat on low with the soft top on. I think you might have bigger problems here.

My heater works great too. Perhaps your core is partially blocked with crud or something. Anyway, Bestop makes a fabric divider called a windjammer that is typically used with the bikini top to make a two seater cab. I have one and it installs easily. You screw in some rails (Like the windshield rail for the soft top) along the riser to the rear deck. The divider uses straps around the sport bar on top and the plastic keepers in these rails to install. It has a big plastic rear window. I've run this set up with the bikini top and the tonneau cover, and the only place I get wet in rain is a little in the gap between the door tops and the sport bar, and the rain runs down the keeper strap for the bikini top to the windshield loop. Not too bad all things considered. It should increase the effect of your heater and warm you up.
