Cars and Coffee (aka car pictures, NO 56K!)

I know this is a Jeep site, but I know there are some car guys out there. I went to a show yesterday and shot some pics. You will be wondering why most of the pics are of the 427 Cobra... well here is why: it is my dream car, the guy was really cool, and he had a kickass car. The guy used to be the director of Fords SVT's department (Yes, SVT!), and now he owns a gun shop (he is living me dream life, needless to say we got along great). It was also the first time using a DSLR, my friend let me borrow his. They also asked me to be their official photographer for the car club, kinda cool I guess.

I can't fit all the pics on here, so the rest are on my Flickr page

Good pics. I want a Supra.

Im right there with you RBIM! Those are some awesome cars and pictures. I love those old rides! When the wife and I were married I went on my honeymoon in a 70 Cuda with only 30,000 mile on the odometer! When my first born come along I was driving a big block 67 Camero SS that only went 45 miles on a full tank of gas, thank God I only lived a mile from where I worked! Had to sell that one after the first baby came along although the baby loved it. If she was crying you could buckle her in and within a few blocks she would go right to sleep, although everyone else in the neighborhood would be awake! Thats the last muscle car I had the chance to own. I sure do miss those days! Thanks for sharing.

thanks guys! (and girls!!) :)
I love muscle cars Fweaky, something about them just makes my heart jump.
The old guy with the 427 Cobra was really cool. Most old people would blow off a 20 year old asking about their car. He talked to me for an hour and a half, real nice guy.

And Scout, you can have it, one was selling theirs for $32,000... lol

And yes Barrie, I agree haha

Really? Why? Just wondering, I like them, but there are more fun import cars out there.

That car was 10 years ahead of its time. I'll take a 6 speed, twin turbo with the sport roof over any sub $ 50k sports car on the market today.

AzTJ 11-15-2009 11:16 PM

Meh. Great motor no doubt, but the car is a pig.

Have you ever driven one?

AzTJ 11-15-2009 11:34 PM

Yup. My friends have owned several, and I've driven a Mk2, MK3, and Mk4 Supras. All turbo models and all pigs.
