Tire question

My buddy is trading in his jeep 2maro and he is willing to trade me my rims and tires for one of his sets he has 33" & 35"s I plan on lifting 3" and it has a 1" bl now it's a 4cly 5 speed with 4.11/4.10 gears I know I should research more but I need to get rims & tires tonight before he go's to dealer in the morning both sets are very nice . Thanks

35's will require more work and parts in the long run. Especially with the 4 cylinder, probably 33's would be easier

Get the 33s unless you have deep deep pockets

Y'all think 5th gear will be usable With the 33 "s ?

With 33's your 4th gear will be close to what your 5th gear was with stock tires, so 5th gear is not usable unless you are going downhill with a tailwind, or drafting a semi. 1st gear will seem a little high, but not too bad.

I had a stock 4.0 and 5th was useless on 33s so imagine a 4 cylinder on 35s. unless you have a few thousand for gears and stronger axles stick with the 33 max and it would probably look nicer with a 3 inch lift and 1inch body

So 33 or smaller with 4.10 gears? Thinking about passing on deal then but still gunna go check out rims/tires anyway. Think I can slam on 33" just to drive for a few weeks? Or is it just to big I think rims are 15x9 not sure on tire but I think 10.5

Thanks for the help everyone

I run 33's on my 2012 with no issues

Thanks guys but I passed on the trade. the 33's were alittle more worn then I remembered. And of course the dam 35's were almost new ! But on the up side I traded him a set of old rims and tires for a case of Coors so he could keep the 35's and still trade in with 2sets of rims/tire as stated in his trade in deal. I got the better end of the deal beer, old rims out of garage and 35"s if I end up going that way. Almost makes me miss my pickup! Psych!!!!!
