Pyle audio system?

Found this on JCWhitney...I'm assuming its cheaply made or something? $250 for pretty much complete audio system sounds too good to be true. 3000 watt amp, dual 12s, speakers and installation kit?

Its not the best but it will get you by. I am a musician, so I have to have good sound so when I redid my sound system, the head-unit alone was $300. I have an Alpine head-unit and Memphis speakers and a subwoofer. Go for quality, not quantity. I am assuming you are putting this in a wrangler, so dont forget to tint the windows so people dont see this stuff and want to break in. We both know how easy it is to break into these cars. I hope this helped.

Yes I'm putting it in a wrangler, don't have one yet, still trying to find a good one. I have a 12" Infinity in bandpass box, but that obviously won't fit behind a jeep rear seat, so I'm trying to think what would be best without sacrificing quality. I'm wanting at least dual 10s, possibly 12s. And yes you helped me out thanks!

They do sell boxes specifically made for Wranglers that goes in the back. It holds two tens, and the subs are down firing. I am actually going to look at it today, and I will give you the brand name if you want it. You can fit a twelve back there, but it cannot be ported, and it has to be a shallow mount. When shopping for subs for the Wrangler, look for Memphis, Alpine, Arc, or Rockford Fosgate. Those have great range and I love mine to death

Pyle is short for Pyle of Crap.

A single good 10 will put out more and better sound than that Pyle setup. You can find truck boxes for a 12 that will fit behind the back seat.

What about the whole kit that Quadratec sells with two 10s (sony p5s or kicker compvr) and 850 watt boss amp? One of my friends said sony is junk and your just payin extra for the kicker name if you buy the kicker subs? Or I was thinking of just buying the $100 box for two 10s and just have to buy an amp and subs. Trying to spend as less money as possible

Your friend is mostly wrong. Sure you pay a slight premium for a name, but the brands whose name demands a premium are usually the brands with a quality reputation that creates that demand. Sony car audio is so-so. Most Kicker subs are excellent. That Quadratec kit looks good, but a little pricey since you're paying for the fancy box.

Kicker is not really that good. When I went to a specialty shop that only does this stuff I asked about Kicker when I was getting my first sub and their reply was, "We only carry good subs." When hearing them myself, they do get loud, but they don't reach tones/pitches very well. If I were you i would make your box and use that $100 for something else on your Jeep. Its just wood and carpet. Good luck!
