Tube fenders

Anybody have them done and have pics? I want to do it to mine, just want to see how you did it. I have a pic at home of a jeep here local with it done and it looks awesome. I'll add it to this thread later.
Thanks,
Chris

I'll let you know in about a week....

Here's a link that shows the TJ fenders we came up with...

http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...ube%20fenders/

We have made others for CJs and YJs that require cutting the inner fender, welding it to the tube fenders, etc...but we chose to make the TJ's be mostly a bolt on deal.

Scout 11-24-2006 06:35 PM

Arrggghhh....and I just spent tons of money on my TNT's. Those look GREAT and there's a market for them as well.

You sound kinda like Charlie Brown when Lucy pulls the football away.

classic4x4s 11-24-2006 07:03 PM

This is a link to some YJ ones we did...it'll give you some idea of what your's might look like...

...btw...we ditched the flare idea...

hardy1531 11-24-2006 07:11 PM

Hey Classic how much do you sell those for? I would need them for a TJ

I wish I could buy some. Once I have another welder I can do them.

Herer is one from a local guy.

I like the ones on that Rubicon, what brand or are they and how much do they generally run?

Are you looking for a complete fabricated set or a DIY kit? The DIY includes the tubes only and the plate work will be left up to you.

I ask this because our delivery on a fully fabricated set right now would be about 12 weeks!

kg4kpg 11-25-2006 09:42 AM

I would be interested in the DIY kit as well.
Thanks

hardy1531 11-25-2006 11:52 AM

I am looking for the fully fabed fenders. I don't own a welder...yet. How much do they run and what about shipping?

classic4x4s 12-02-2006 07:31 PM

Just wanted to let you know I have not forgotten about this. Before posting prices and maybe breaking the rules here I have sent a pm to admin to ask a couple of questions. I will post back soon. Thanks!

Blue Torch has a good DIY kit for front fenders. You can see them in my summary of the install of full cage, etc. I have pics posted there, but am feeling lazy right now, so I am not going to repost in this thread...:D

Okay, I just wanted to let you guys know what is going on. We have been way too busy and not able to keep up with orders so our business plan has been revised. We are going back to our roots (Early Broncos) and will not be building many Jeep parts. This was a difficult decision, but in the end it is better to have a few happy customers than many unhappy ones! We can still bend the tubes for the fenders, but we will not be making any complete sets, the plate work just takes a lot of time.

With all that said...I have one set of TJ tubes bent and will sell for $75 plus packaging and shipping. Thanks!

I'm supprised and wondering why i dont see any fenders that go in the rear to match the front. i gues there isnt such a need for it but it would look nice when they are similar and stronger than the stock plastics.

I would think you could run a couple tubes parallel and bend them to follow the same line as the plastic flairs, then weld tabs to mount them to the existing bolt holes. You could use sheet metel to make them as wide as you prefered. That's what I was planning. I'm not cutting fender wells out like I've seen some do. Looks cool but not what I want.

Check out T&T Customs, the make some really nice front tube fenders and some matching rears. They also make some fenders that they call "Phantom" because they are so small. Really trick stuff from them.

Poison Spider has matching rear flares

I'm going with this set up when I win the lottery :D

Triple88a 12-18-2006 06:49 PM

droooolwlwlwwwlllll :) I like the T&T ones. The edges look a bit sharper which I think matches the Jeep better. They look so good :)

Bluesman 12-19-2006 05:11 PM

I like the PS ones.
Plan to get them soon. :)
