Back seat angle mods?

Hi Guys! Happy New Year!

Hey, I have a 2007 JK and love it, buy my kids... not as much. The angle of the back seat is pretty steep (my daughter claims it is a perfect right angle). So, when we go on extended drives, I hear endless commentary from the back about how uncomfortable they are. I have been looking for a way to adjust the angle, but haven't been able to find a lever or switch to make that happen. Am I missing something? Or, is there something I can to to mod the seat to adjust the angle? Or will I have to replace the seat all together (not really thinking seriously about that...)?

Thanks!

Curious if you have the 2 or 4 dr. My back seat (2 dr) is hanging from the rafters in the garage, but I do remember sitting in it (before removal!) and I thought it was comfortable. No leg room, of course.

Rear Seats

I have seen several Unlimited Wranglers with bucket seats (captain chairs or whatever the right term is) in the back. But I have never bothered to ask if they were custom seats or it was as easy as taking out the bench seat and bolting down the new seats; or where they got them. So if you like this idea you might have to do some research. It does look pretty cool. Maybe I will look into it myself for a future mod to my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

Just got back from a 1200 mi. round trip over the holidays. My 12 year old son rode in back the whole time. He's 5'9" and no complaints - about the seat that is. :)

I am interested in this same topic for the same reason. We just got our 2010 4 Door JK and that is one complaint I have so far. I wonder if a reclining mechanism can be added to the existing seats. Our Ford Expedition has this feature and it make ridding in the rear seats more comfortable.

That's what the radio is for. The minute the back seat crew starts complaining, the radio gets turn up to tune them out! (thank god those days are over....three kids, four dogs, two guinea pigs and a rabbit every weekend for 100 miles each way!) That is why I had a caravan during those times, that is what they were designed for, this jeep is all about me, kids are grown up and hubby said heck with them, go two door and be selfish!

The misconception about the unlimited is that it can replace a caravan....I think not!:D
