Post pics, sounds like a good fixerup or if all else fails PARTS.

$500 isn't bad for a project start, but remember, you'll be spending $$$ and a lot of time on everything to get it back in shape, and once you do, you'll be adding the extra $$ for insurance and registration. If you're committed to it, this sounds great. If it's an impluse on a seemingly good deal, you may winds up with a pile of rust in your yard that you're going to get around to someday.

$500 could make that back by parting it out.

I would take it

morphious 01-12-2010 11:53 AM

yup u could part it out for that much

Heck shoot him $250 for it. You have to remember even if you part it out, you'll make the money back, but you will still have to put in the work of removing parts off of it. If your looking to do a project Jeep with it, atleast this way your still not over your head in initial cost to start.

Is the registration current and if not how late? Dose it have a salvage or lien on the title? I always make sure of these things, sometimes even bud's forget they have a lien or such on their vehicles. Other than that I'd go for it the hood, front grill, front window and gate would fetch you 500 easy.

parting it out and making some $$$$$$$ would get you real familiar with all of the yjs workings. remember to keep some of the "goodies" for yourself. then build on your 93.
