Suspension lift...

I have a YJ right now and it is sitting on a 3inch body lift and 33 MTs and i really want a suspension lift. What should i do? Take off the body lift and put a suspension lift on? Or should i put a suspension lift ontop of my body lift?

I'd lose the 3" body lift. They're (IMO) unsafe. Besides, how the hell do you shift that thing with that little bitty nub of a shifter sticking up?

But seriously, I put a 4" suspension lift on my YJ with NO body lift and had no issues with 33's.

I've got a 3" body lift ( I didn't put it on there :p ) and 33's and I think I have room for 38's lol

I'd say down grade to a 1" or 2" body lift and maybe a 2" budget boost suspension lift ( or larger if you perfer )

I'm personally gonna keep my body lift (I like having the shifter lower) and do a SOA, idk what size springs I want but theres 5" of lift off the bat

PS ccain, I beat the hell out of my jeep off roading with the 3" body lift and it was fine :D I think as long as you have non-cheapo pucks and grade 8 hardware everywhere theyre perfectly fine (IMO) :punk:

Post some Pics! :D

If you have a way of holding up the body seperate from th frame and you know how to weld then sure its easy.

Since you have a YJ theres 2 welded squares on the front that connect the grill to the frame, and then theres 9 bolts you'd need to try and get unscrewed and then remove the desired pucks (if theres more then one) (pucks are the plastic cylinders that space out the body from the frame) other wise you'd have to get a new 2" or 1" body lift.

Also if they're not already, I highly recommend replacing all bolts with Grade 8 ones.

IMO I'd have a professional do it, just cause of the experience and garuntee
