1990 Jeep Wrangler won't start

i was changing the positive battery cable on my yj when the wrench i was using made contact with the metal battery box. When this happened it sparked and now my jeep will not start. it will turn over but i don't thinkl it is getting ant fire. any idea what i can do to fix it?

If you have not done so, unhook both pos and neg on the battery, wait a few mins then hook up. Not sure if its the same on YJ's but the TJ's have "master fuse" that can be removed to sort of reset everything.

if it does where would the master fuse be located?

on the tj its located in the under the hood fuse box, has a section of tape over so you don't remove it.

if the master fuse is mad, would the headlights and radio and everything else still work?

Check your relays in the power box under the hood by the battery. There is one for the starter, auto shut down, and fuel pump. They are interchangeable so move them around and try it.

i swapped the relays around and had the same result. it will turn over but it will not fire. any other ideas.

could be the starter relay or the control unit
