You know . . . to keep warm in case you get stuck!!! Like the little barrel that Saint Bernards carry around their neck for snow rescue.

dj_chizzle 02-04-2010 07:49 PM

gonna make sure i have at a minimum a full tank of gas, windshield washer fluid, tow strap, and snow shovel.

It's snowing???

birdhunter 02-04-2010 09:20 PM

I wish we were getting that much
but I take,shovel ,sand,cell phone, pullstrap,
tire chains, but if 30 was coming I would
take a stove(heater) and some canned food

I like to go out half way through a storm and play
Have Fun inthe first 12-16" and see
what your jeep can do

I just dress warm...and keep a full tank of gas. If I get stuck, it'll be a shitty walk, but I work outside year round...I can handle it. Then just gotta make it to work to pick up a tractor, chain, and a 2nd driver and I'll have the Jeep out in no time.

Now if I were out wheeling off-road somewhere...I'd be bringing at minimum a shovel, strap, and a come-along (too broke for a winch...but eventually that would be replaced with a winch...lol).

Well last time it snowed alot I stopped at Home Depot and picked up three 50lbs sand bags, put 1 in the trunk and 1 behind each seat :D

Sure it was only 150 lbs but holy crap did it help my rear tires grip

midget-farmer 02-05-2010 07:07 PM

I keep a log chain on the front bumper & I keep a couple of recovery straps inside. Plus the CB & cell phone.

Mr. WOT 02-05-2010 07:19 PM

I live in Colorado and aint seen that kind of snow yet. Meh.

RedWrangler 02-06-2010 01:51 AM

Gas and my ass!!! Nothing else required.

Fweaky 02-06-2010 02:00 AM

The wife for insurance. I'm not gonna get stuck but just in case I need someone to push...

debruins 02-06-2010 03:49 PM

snow? there is nothing here! its ridiculous! (MA)

birdhunter 02-06-2010 10:34 PM

When we go play in the snow(road trip) we
go on state, fed or county forest land
10s of 1000s of acres you might not see
another truck
so you need to be ready for the worst
but I wouldnt be out there in 30"

debruins 02-07-2010 03:33 PM

lift and skinny tired you could do it. There is solid road underneath it is way different than wheeling in the snow where there is still mud/ loose rocks under you.
