Do all JK Unlimited's com with the tracloc D44??

Hi guys,

My dad wants to buy a JK this weekend and he was wondering if all JK Unlimited's have the tracloc option. I know all of the old TJ unlimited's had it but any ideas about the new ones??

Thanks

Dan

Go to Official Jeep Site - 4x4 SUV, Sport Utility Vehicle to see all the various model features. Tracloc I believe is purchased option if you order new, may have changed since my year of Jeep

I was on that site earlier but I couldn't figure out if the D44's came with the tracloc or not. After looking around again, I think it is an option that has to be ordered, but if someone knows differently please chime in, haha.

I think the 09's are the same as the 10's, so here's my thought, for what it's worth from when I bought mine. Except for the Rubicon, the standard axle is not the D44 and the trac-lok is not standard but an option. If you want a limited slip differential, you have to get a D44 which does have trac-lok. We found one Sahara with the limited slip and one without. We went with the limited slip D44 which was listed as an option.
The Rubicon has a D44 with "tru-loc" in front and back. The "tru-loc" is also available on other JK's but not in the front! I hope that's right and hope it helps with the 10's. Good luck!

All JKs come with D44 rear axle,, the track loc is an option for the D44.

Rubicons come with D44 front and rear, do have electric lockers front and rear, but do not have track loc (meaning, when the lockers are not engaged, the axles are not limited slip)

Okay, the learning process continues!
I wondered about the lockers and limited slip on the Rubicon. Recently headed out on a trip through the snow and I did ask the dealer about the better vehicle to take, the Sahara with limited slip or the Rubicon. I was told by both sales and the service adviser that the Rubicon had limited slip as well as the lockers. Took the Rubi and had a great trip, no problems of any kind and felt pretty good about it.

So now, I'm back to my original question. I've got a call in now to check it out. Any tech advise or location for the information about the lockers with or without limited slip is appreciated. Enjoy the day!
