Jeep repair in Fremont

Hi new to Cali. I have a 2007 Wrangler. I need a mechanic. Any suggestions from San Jose to Dublin dealership or not is ok.

Hey, just drove my Jeep from Colorado out to San Francisco. Looking for the same ... let me know if you find anything, or if anybody else has suggestions.

I spin my own wrenches, the dealers around here tend to be over priced and under staffed. Last time my Jeep hit a dealer it came back with a dent in the hood. :(

Deetz offroad doesn't do repairs but he does awesome customization. Near Tracy.

I'm in Fremont. Just had my clutch done at T&L Elite auto in Union City. Chris is the guy to talk to. Nice guy. My clutch and slave cylinder ran me $850 and I got it back right away.

Is this a 4x4 shop?

Userbrand 09-12-2010 02:33 PM

No. He's a regular mechanic. Specializes in transmissions. Give him a call and see what he says.

There a 4wd.com shop in San Jose. They have a shop there. I've got parts from them but never had word done there.

Cool ... Thanks for the info!

I pass on them, the people they have working there don't know a helluva lot. Either that or they just don't show it. You can't BS a mechanic, but they sure as hell have tried. They've tried to schedule me out over a week for a simple tire rotation and balance, so obviously there scheduling isn't very good either. Took the jeep to another local shop and had a balance and rotate done in less than an hour, and for 1/2 the price.

Thanks for the 411. The prices seems decent on parts and since I can pick them up you save on shipping. But sounds like a shop to avoid for work.

X2 on what Ray says. 4WD is good for sales and that's about it. IIRC Shaffer's off-road just opened up near Oakland. In San Jose/Campbell, there Arabia's Overkill. A bit pricey but quality is way up there. I know there's a 4x4 shop in Fremont but I can remember the name but from what I've heard, he does solid work.
