For those in the Northern Ky area, let me know if perhaps early next year we might plan to meet up at a local pub, trail etc.. lets post it here. Thanks.

Campbell County Here (Student at NKU), However, I'm in the market for a Jeep, either Late YJ model or Early YJ model.

I'm kinda looking for an everyday and offroader wrangler. I'm not looking for a Crawler though.

If you know anyone, let them know about me. I'm looking to spend around 4500 more or less.

Thanks,
Broken

Nothing has been planned yet... but I don't see why we could not get something together. How does sometime in late Aug or early Sept work? Where at?

RAGMAN 08-31-2009 10:32 PM

Wheelin Time

Saturday the 12

491 south

im open to where to meet and what time..

they open around 9am.

for rigs in N.Ky maybe we can meet at flyin J truckstop off of 75 South..

directions to the off road park are

North and South - Take I75 to exit 166 Crittenden turn left (coming south) or trun right (coming north) and go to the stop light where you can only go left or right. Take a RIGHT and go about a mile or so and take a left on 491. You will need to cross the train tracks and then just go straight (you will be on 491 then). Head about 6 miles or so and its on the left, its a big open area with a big brownish gray building that says "491 off road park".

Once you pass the big john deere dealership its about 5 minutes on your left.

anyone interested, lets plan to meet at the truck stop (flyin J's)
around 10am ish.. or im open to a different time if it will accomodate more.

if you plan on going, its $15 per person for the park, you must drive your rig in, they do not allow trailored vehicles.

heres their website:

So, did anything come of this "Meet and Greet"? I'm in Campbell County on 16 miles from the 491 park. Drove by it yesterday and it's still open.

4Jeepn 07-03-2010 11:28 AM

Have no idea... but we could start another one... though perhaps for end of this month or aug?

Son of Siam 07-15-2010 08:51 AM

I'd be interested in meeting up. I'm new to the forum. I have a few other Jeeps from my gym that will come along too. My gym is down off the AA Hwy. We have been tossing around the idea. Let me know guys.

InfernoGirl 07-15-2010 09:04 AM

I don't know how far Owensboro is from any of you, but there is a cruise in at Lowe's on Sat. 17 July, 2010 from 12-4.... Look forward to meeting some of you! :)

Son of Siam 07-15-2010 10:34 PM

Last time i went to Bills was a few weeks back..... he's really done alot since my last trip, much more difficult this time around with the mudholes and all, had a few people in our group who trailored in a rig, got stuck, then got broke... was a great time..

Okay so what is a good location to meet up at in NKY? Near NKU or AA highway area perhaps? Do we want food etc. chime in people.

Son of Siam 07-16-2010 03:19 PM

We can meet up at my gym on a Sat Aug 14th if everyone wants. Plenty of room in my lot to check out eachothers rides and we can get some food at Longnecks or go out after. I'm game for whatever. My place is 1019 Town Dr., right by Town and Country the soccer complex off the AA. Its called Son of Siam. The gym is around the back side of the building.

We can just change it to 2pm then no problem. Please feel free to throw out some ideas of what we can do. Should we plan to go anywhere for a ride? I really dont know of many spots, so if anyone does I'd like to hear about it.

Nogear 07-22-2010 05:54 PM

I can't make it on the 14th. I'll be working. We go to the field this weekend and I don't get back till the 13th but we have to do recovery on the 14th and 15th (it's an Army thang). Anyway, would love to meet some of you guys though.

Newb to the Jeep community. Name is Paul. I have a bone stock 93 YJ that has all the fixings soon to be sitting in the garage eagerly awaiting my return from the land of sand. I would like to have an opportunity to stretch its soon to be new legs once I finish the build.

I am putting in a RC 4", Boomerang shackles, Power steering, Rock sliders, New top, Fender flares, 33s, and the list goes on and on and on.

The Jeep is my new project since my 03 Mitsu Evo is built to the hilt.

I look forward to getting the chance to meet up with you all......next fall : (

Paul

4Jeepn 04-01-2011 04:17 PM

paul,

We will be here next fall... until then enjoy the site...

Appauldd 04-07-2011 03:37 PM

Can any of you advise me of some good "stores" and/or jeep junk yards? My YJ needs some love. I have several stock items in need of replacement.

Paul
