Question about the rear seats in a 2dr JK

Hey everyone. I've been on this site lurking around for a bit. I ordered a new 2010 Wrangler when I was in Iraq. Now that Im back in the states, we've had some time together :). And I love it! The only thing Im wondering about is: I mostly keep my rear seats up for more room in the back...However I can't find in the users manual how to lock them in place. I noticed if I hit the gas good then the rear seats move. So there's probably a way to lock them in place and I dont know what else to do besides using a bungee cord.

I attached pics of her, me and my friends named her Betty...Right when I drove it off the lot a song on the radio "Black Betty" was on. So we thought that was fitting.

The seats should lock in by themselves. there are 2 little skegs that are closer to the front of the car and then one in the back, and the seat should line up with the skegs closest to the front. you have to put the seat in on an angle and then when you pull the seat down it should make a click sound when you pull it up and then the back seat is in. I take my seat in and out all the time to fit my DJ equipment

I have a 10 Rubi and keep the back seat up all the time. I've hit it a few times and never had that problem. It "tumbles" up and stays there. It doesn't lock in place. However, do a search because I've seen a thread on this that someone else had that problem.

I solved the whole thing. I just removed the rear seats.

Now I have a new couch ;)

I have mine in the upstairs closet in the spare room; never rolls around or clunks... ...never even had a butt on it, in fact...

Welcome home and thank you for serving.
