jgano23 03-04-2010 11:02 PM

oh man, jerry. i am so sorry to hear about that. please keep us updated and best of luck.

ccain 03-04-2010 11:02 PM

Oh dear God Jerry, I'm so sorry.

I hope who ever stole it winds up a quadriplegic! I HATE thieves even more so than liars!!!

EDIT: Jerry, you may want to post up a laundry list of it's parts. I know your rig had some prototype parts on it. If they try to part it out it should be easier to track them down.

jpdocdave 03-04-2010 11:04 PM

damn that sucks. sorry to hear it, hope it comes back ok.

05GT-O.C.D. 03-04-2010 11:06 PM

Holy crap! "That sucks" doesn't begin to describe it. I'm very sorry. At least the fact that it's easily identified may help. :fingerscrossed: Good luck, and again sorry Jerry.

tlrrob1000 03-04-2010 11:16 PM

Wife is freaked out now. I have to install a baja switch now.
I feel for ya I know how violated I felt when my bike was stolen. Like someone kicked me in the balls. We are all here for ya.

Fweaky 03-04-2010 11:17 PM

Sorry Jerry!

whiteyj 03-04-2010 11:20 PM

There has got to be a special place in hell for thieves like this.... Sorry for your loss Jerry.

InfernoGirl 03-04-2010 11:22 PM

OMG! How dare they steal from our resident Jeep guru..... Bastages. I'm truly sorry to hear this, I hope it is recovered intact and quickly.

Stefan 03-04-2010 11:35 PM

I couldn't imagine what sorts of hell it would be for Eloisa to be stolen.
GET ON CRAIGSLIST/EBAY after making that laundry list of its parts and look for every last one of them...they're sure to show up somewhere.
When you find that guy who stole it...when, not if...don't call the cops,
get a few buddies, and some heat...and ruin that theif's day. Then, brand a small jeep symbol on his arm.
(I'm partially serious...that whole thievery thing is just ridiculous.)
I'm really sorry to hear that man.

PecosRiver 03-04-2010 11:40 PM

Sorry to hear this. I had my ATM stolen recently and I know how it makes you feel violated.

What’s a Baja switch?

turdhurdler 03-04-2010 11:53 PM

Jerry, Steph and I feel very sorry for you. Agreed with others that we hope the Jeep turns up quickly.

Jeff and Steph

distortedtj 03-05-2010 12:22 AM

Best of luck Jerry. I truely hope you have it returned.

It is a kill switch. Even with a key or even if they bust the ignition or try to hot wire it, it will not start unless you throw the switch.

Stefan 03-05-2010 12:59 AM

Damn, this thing's gettin me paranoid

I'm lookin into lojack...but I don't like the idea of having a tracking device in my vehicle 100% of the time.

Stefan 03-05-2010 01:00 AM

I don't like to be able to be tracked
but I guess the theft possibilities outweigh that...as long as i know where the transmitter is...in case I need to take it off

schnutzy 03-05-2010 01:00 AM

i vote baja switch, and a removable steering wheel. id like to see some one try and steal it then

Stefan 03-05-2010 01:05 AM

what exactly does the baja switch do?
could you explain that to me?
I couldn't find it on google :(

Eddie 03-05-2010 01:12 AM

Wow! That sucks! Sorry to hear it man. I Had My race bike stolen out of my trailer when I was down at an event in Al. I drove myself crazy for months watching for parts to show up on ebay etc. and they never did, nor did the bike.

For my next bike I looked into lojack and I found out its not as reliable as you would think from what I'm told.

I feel your pain and fingers crossed it turns up in one piece.

jcf 03-05-2010 01:16 AM

Really sorry Jerry, hope you get it back

kilgoretrout844 03-05-2010 01:22 AM

Truely sorry man that is very sad to hear. Hopefully you have luck on getting it back and pressing charges on those responsible.

A Baja switch is nothing more than a hidden switch that disables the ignition system, starter, etc. Most of them work by disabling the ASD (auto shut down) relay which kills the power to the ignition and fuel injectors.

Thanks for the thoughts & wishes for a speedy recovery of the Jeep guys, I do appreciate them. :)

Barrie 03-05-2010 05:07 AM

Sorry to hear Jerry, hope you get the Jeep back.

JDsDream 03-05-2010 05:49 AM

Wow Jerry, this is hard to believe. I hope it will be found and returned home in tact. This really bites.

G-Pur 03-05-2010 08:42 AM

Wow that sucks. I hope she comes back to you in one piece.

OSUJEEPER 03-05-2010 09:19 AM

Sorry to hear about that. My thoughts are with you from Fla
