My fan switch just quit blowing on speeds 3 and 4. Worked yesterday and not today, and I'm not sure why. Any suggestions as to where I should start?

Thanks for the help. I'll use that thread to begin checking it out tomorrow. I've noticed something else as well. When I turn it up to 3 or 4 it stops blowing. It won't start blowing again on 2 until I go down to 1 and then back to 2. I'm sure that link'll help.
Thanks on the name.

That is a strange situation you have. Sounds like you have a connection problem in the plug, or on the control switch. Might even be a corroded or bad ground. If it was just that the motor only blew in 1 and 2; I would say something with the connector on the control head or resistor panel. You having to go back to 1 to get 2 to work throws a loop into it. I would start with checking the wiring from the control head to the resistors looking for corrosion or damaged plugs/wires. One other possibility is a bad switch in the control head. Be aware that wiring problems will throw some pretty strange symptoms and could be attributed to something that will make you sit back and say "how the heck". Check everything before condemning the control head the way to check the control head switch is to ohm out the proper pins off the back of the control head and see if they are still showing good flow when the switch in on the proper place. (i.e. switch placed on setting 1 check pins for setting one).
