Got another jeep, Mod stock bumper ?'s

Yesterday I got myself another wrangler, after selling mine on Tuesday. Ended up paying 5450, for a 98 in pretty good shape, 140k miles, 1 month warranty, 100 gas card :p , automatic. It has the stock bumper on it, And i saw some where on here a while back someone that had modded their stock bumper. Just looking for suggestions on that, and possibly a link.

Just looking to get the stock bumper not looking stock. Something to protect the grille, maybe add some lights other than stock.

You are only limited by your emagination and your wallet. :D

Cut the ends angled.
Bolt on lights
Bolt on grill hoop
Weld on grill hoop
bolt on brush guard
Cut the bumper flush with the frame

all you need is a carbon blade metal chop saw... and a welder... then play! unlike wood, metal is more forgiving to screwups :D

Nice job. Thought about getting an after market front bumper. I may rethink that.

An aftermarket bumper, no doubt, is probably much stronger than my modded front stocker. However, I DESTROYED a Ford Mustang with my modded front stocker and sustained NO damage. That's enough proof for me that I don't need an aftermarket front bumper. I know, I don't have D-rings on the front, but I do have two 10k lb. hooks and a winch on it, so I'm good. I've looked at a couple of different front bumpers, but until I decide I'm not happy with my modded stocker, I'll wait.
