tranny squeel?

Hey. I bought my 6 speed 08 unlimited a few days ago and I noticed today that theres a squeeling sound coming from under the Jeep. I thought it was the belt but it goes away when the clutch is in. After I put it on ramps and rolled underneath I found the noise was coming from the transmittion. I have never owned a manual before so I have no idea why the tranny would be squeeling...... Obviously it cant be good but I was wondering if anyone had the same problem or knew what was going on. Thanks for any help.

-sorry if this has been covered, I dont have time to do a search....

If it is squeeling only when the clutch is depressed, it may be your throwout bearing going out. To replace it involves pulling the trans away from the engine and removing the flywheel, clutch pack etc to expose the throwout bearing. Good luck with the project. If I am incorrect, I am sure someone will quickly chime in to assist.

hahaha great, figures.... Well I wont be doing any of that project. Luckly for me I have multiple warrenties since i JUST BOUGHT IT. This jeep only has 15K on it. Isnt that a low amount of miles for a (sounds like) pretty major component to be going out already?
