Newbie question

I just bought a 07 Unlimited X softtop, and its a stick, i bought it already lifted, it has teraflex 4" lift with MT wheels and Cooper 37" , i want to lift it more with a body lift, is it possible to do it and install a body lift + the already installed 4"?

welcome to the forum and yes it is possible.

Some flat flares will give your tires more room too.

There is an inner and an outer rubber boot on the shifter on a 6 speed, I believe you need to cut the inner and make sure the body is shifted as far as it can be before you tighten the body lift or it might not stay in gear..

Problem is I researched this when I was thinking about a body lift, and I don't remember if is needs to be shifted forward or backward before tightening the lift bolts.

I think it's back because my friend did his and when he shifts into 2nd and fourth the shifter hits the floor pan

In other words, it's possible but not ideal.

Those flat fenders are looking better, aren't they?

They're awkward looking for sure.

I think that it looks slick as it is. Why would you want to add a body lift to it?

Big 03-21-2010 05:41 PM

To be honest "IM just addicted", 2nd on the sand dunes the chasis/frame get caught at the edge/top of the sand dune/hill..

Slither302 03-21-2010 08:45 PM

A body lift wont do anything for the frame getting hung up unless your planning bigger tires. If that's the case go for a bigger lift but no body lift.

You should have got a 2 door Wrangler, im sure the shorter wheel base would help alot.

Welcome and X2 on the above!

I think it looks great as it is and with super Mods in the picture.
But maybe I'm a little biased.:)
Congrats!
