its raining cats and dogs...

so as we speak my jeeps sittin in the rain topless with the doors off as well. now i know this isnt good but what am i in danger of messing up or anything? i pulled the plugs out earlier cause i was going to sweep all the dirt out of it and maybe wash it out a lil bit since i have no carpet. is my soundbar or speakers going to be affected at all? its not raining that hard but it may. thanks

I think it all depends on how much water your talking about...in most cases if it has time to dry out you should be fine...drying out is the key of course.. however if a major storm is coming go cover it.

Shouldn't affect anything. Whenever mine gets rained on (which is rare out here) I just pull the front seat up to keep the swamp *ss to a minimum. Everything on mine has gotten pretty wet with no ill effects.

Stereos are susceptible. A Pioneer head unit glitched out after a good rain shower. It was brand new and Pioneer told me they wouldn't warranty it. The Best Buy rep who assured me it could handle a little weather was no help. So, now I have a marine head unit designed for a boat. My sound bar, rear wedges and front dash speakers have endured a multitude of rain showers with no apparent ill effects.
There is a rubber shroud under the steering column plastic cover protecting all the wiring. Good luck finding that if you have to replace it. I tore mine when changing the blinker switch and the dealer says the part doesn't exist. I now have a piece of inflatable raft vinyl in its place which works well enough for the time being.
