...it sounds like a metal on metal sound when I apply the brakes. I checked the brake calipher and it seems tight, but only to the hand, not wrench. I first thought something was rolling when I applied the brakes. Its only about 4 to 5 months old and still under warranty so I suppose I'll let the stealer look at it. I cringe if I ever have to go into a dealer. Its always something with them. Usually come away with a bad feeling and so often they treat a symptom and takes several trips to get the real problem fixed. Hmmm maybe they are smarter than I thought and I'm the dumb one. Ohh I know thats gonna get some feedback.

Been on the trail with it?

How many miles? Stuck caliper maybe, glazed pad... could be a bunch of things.

Haven't been on the trail. Talked to dealer and they said maybe pad dust buildup, to wash it and if it still does it to bring it in. Oh and only 3,100 miles.

I was going toward mud on the calipers but the dealer saying wash it down pretty much was the same solution I was going to mention.

I wonder if the rain I'll be driving in tomorrow will be as good as a wash? Guess I'll see.

No, didn't take care of it so tomorrow its off to the stealer to leave it with him.

Ended up being some kind of brake switch that was fixed under warranty. Was in a hurry when I picked it up and probably didn't listen as close as I should have. Bottom line was it was fixed, I didn't have to pay and was already running late.
