Neighbor Dispute

A city councilman in Utah, Mark Easton, had a beautiful view of the east mountains, until a new neighbor purchased the lot below his house and built a new home. The new home was 18 inches higher than the ordinances would allow, so Mark Easton, mad about his lost view, went to the city to make sure they enforced the lower roof line ordinance. The new neighbor had to drop the roof line at great expense.

Recently, Mark Easton called the city, and informed them that his new neighbor had installed some vents on the side of his home. Mark didn't likethe look of these vents and asked the city to investigate. When they went to Mark's home to see what the vents looked like, this is what they found:

The vents are still there because the Council said there were no ordanances disallowing them. Maybe some day it will be something that Mark and his neighbor laugh about but I doubt it will be any time soon.

That is awesome. Looks like something I would do.

Committing that to memory. :D

Incidently, by prioritizing that image to my brain, I've lost a memory from sometime in 3rd grade. Not exactly sure what the old memory was about, but it's gone, so it doesn't matter...........

that is pretty funny. this guy kind of does deserve it. he was taking out his frustrations on the new neighbors. i wasn't aware that you had to check with the other neighbors to see if it was ok to buy property and build a house (unless you're a sex offender).

If he helped pay for the build then he has a say in the design,I would go next door and drink beer with that fellar,he has an awesome sense of humor.

He should have bought the property when it went up for sale if he didn't want a house there.

18 inches? thats really petty, as if thats going to make a lot of difference to the idiots view. But it does make a hell of a difference to the builders budget. He deserves what he gets & I personally like that style of vent :D Typical Utah Valley, holyer than thou hippacrits (spelling) :flipoff:

That is a true story, but it's from about 4 years ago. Still funny as hell.

LOL...something similar happened to my grandpa a while back. He decided to move and wanted to have a house custom built to his needs. So he searched around and found a nice lot across town from his current house. He purchased it and had his house built. His neighbors then filed complaints with the village regarding his house blocking their view and the rainwater from his yard flooding their yards.

Those neighbors had the opportunity to purchase that lot and nobody stepped up...it had been for sale for about 5 years or so before my grandpa purchased it and built his house. The neighbors ended up losing their battle against the village and they are all complete pricks to my grandpa who is one of the nicest people you will ever meet when it comes to encountering random strangers. He will always wave and say hello and ask how they're doing. The neighbor's either snub him completely or are very rude. One day, I was mowing the yard for my grandpa and I guess I accidentally shot some of the grass clippings onto the neighbor's grass. You couldn't tell but they were outside and saw me do it...all I know is the bi...woman, comes storming over and bitches my grandpa out. Never said a word to me... had she just come over and said something to me about it, I would have apologized and told her I'd make sure to direct the grass toward the inside a couple extra rows to keep it off her lawn. No, instead my grandpa comes over and tells me what she was ranting and raving about...so what did I do?

I did what any good kid would do... I flipped her off whenever I saw her out in the yard working and made sure that while I shot the grass to the inside a few extra rows, I shot the giant pile right onto the property line on our side so it looked nice and ugly. She was furious...but didn't say anything since she knew it wasn't going to help. lol

I freaking hate people like that...
