dealership.

TJ2k5 03-31-2010 10:50 PM

I went to the local dealer in Killeen and they said I had to order at least 10 sets because it is a special order item.

distortedtj 03-31-2010 10:52 PM

Your dealership su$ks then. I've ordered even harder to get decals as single decals through the dealer.

distortedtj 03-31-2010 10:59 PM

What is wrong with getting one from the site your picture of one is from?

Rocky Mountain Edition Decal - Jeep Wrangler - Item # 55157034AA

^ because $50 for a single sticker is stupid. Just a thought. :D

InfernoGirl 04-01-2010 07:19 AM

Check with several different dealers in your area. My dealer will do it for me, and find me parts I need in stock if they don't have them. The dealer isn't that great, but his parts department guys are helpful, (idiots, but they do try to help):)

Exactly. Each ($102 for a pair)

The dealer is freedom in killeen and he also told me that 05 Rubicaon springs would not fit on my 05 Rocky Mountian. I am getting the feeling that he just doesnt want to order anything. I am going to try Mac Haik in Temple this afternoon and see if I can get the same response since they are a Mopar parts dealer...

TJ2k5 04-01-2010 03:24 PM

Dealer price is $57.99 each:eek::flipoff:

Pleiner87 04-01-2010 03:44 PM

Well the good news is you only need one.... I think its only on the passenger side... why idk, but i've only seen them on the pass. side. You could look on ebay and you might get lucky on a factory one or find someone who reproduces them and go that route. Im changing my X to a Sport and will go with reproduction exact cut decals for $7 a pair on ebay compared to $20+ from the dealer... just an Idea. -Todd

Decals alone won't make an X into a Sport!

Duh. But I bet the origanal purchaser paid for that sticker, probally alot more than $50.

Gary2 04-01-2010 05:16 PM

Many people sell the OE looking decals on Ebay for next to nothing

birdhunter 04-01-2010 05:46 PM

Wow
most remove stickers
not add them

What a tool . . . so he told you that Rubicon springs won't fit on your Rocky Mountain huh . . . did he explain why they wouldn't fit on a Rocky Mountain edition when they'll fit on every other TJ Jeep has made? Does the sticker or seat trim or whatever this edition came with somehow radically change the suspension of the Jeep? Take your business elsewhere . . . doesn't sound like this asshat has a clue or is eager to help you.

Yeah, but it will appear be a sport (at least i'm not making a rubiclone). I've added near all base sport options into my X. I've found many factory take-offs from other jeepers to get it close.
---Back to the original post, There is a guy on ebay that makes reproduction jeep decals and just about anything else that might be able to do it, look for the MJ sport truck decals on there.

AzTJ 04-02-2010 12:07 AM

I say take the image to a sign shop and have them cut you some out.

When he said that, I just looked at him... I told him that my jeep was the same as a rubicon except for a painted console and stiched seats without the mopar locker and he said I dont know, I turned around a left. :9lame:

Since I am on the subject....A friend said to replace my springs with the Rubicon springs to get 1 1/2'' lift over stock. Can anyone verify this for me ?
I am new on here and havent had the time to read all the lift posts...

Thanks for the help

No you wouldn't get 1.5" of lift by going to Rubi springs . . . I forget the exact difference, but unless your springs are really saggy and the Rubi springs are new, you won't see more than 1" . . . if that. You'd be better off going with a Budget Boost or something vs. wasting the money on Rubi Springs IMO.

Unless he can find some Rubi springs with low miles for really cheap. Thats what I did when my front was sagging and it leveled it right out. Think I was lucky and got all 4 springs for around $40. They had at the most around 4,000 miles on them when I got them a couple years ago and my Jeep is still sitting level.

That's odd, I have a Rocky Mountain, but it doesn't have the fog lamps. The door sticker says 215/75's instead of 30's, but it does have the Alcoa's on it. It has 235/75's on it now, and the speedo is off, so I'm assuming the sticker is right. I was cheated! LOL.

Not a problem, and I didn't type that out from memory. Found it on a site that lists changes to the TJ by year. It comes in handy when people ask "What did my Jeep come with?". :D

Levinoss 04-04-2010 08:10 PM

The reason you haven't seen many Rocky mountain jeeps around is because most of them are up north. We bought some seats out of a junked RM jeep for next to nothing that were in amazing condition. We went up to the dealership and had them priced and it seems everything RM is expensive.

If you really want the stickers there are plenty of online sources you could prolly get them from.

TJ2k5 04-05-2010 08:36 PM

Thanks everyone...:D
