Trade full doors for half?
So I am thinking that I would rather have the half doors on my Jeep.
I would use the soft windows for spring through fall and buy a new or used set of sliders for the winter.
Will I be very unhappy that I got rid of my full doors come winter or do you think the hard uppers will be comparable?
I picked up a set of soft doors for cheap $$$ not too long ago but they don't seem to add much value as they appear to be too fragile to throw in the back seat area when it's cold start to the day and then ends up nice. Seems like the half doors would let me take off the uppers and throw them in the back and still have a nice open feeling.
I have been checking out Craigslist for a bit now looking for someone selling red half doors for a TJ but nothing has come up yet.

Where are you located? I would be interested in trading my halfs for your fulls. I am in eastern Iowa.

had both full and half.. 99% of the time I had full on, I liked the roll up window better. But others might like the half better. I did not have the slider window for the half so cant comment on that.

I am just outside of Boston MA so Iowa might be a stretch (: Although it might be a nice road trip (:

I have only half doors, and love, love, love them... More elbow room, nice armrest, who the heck cares if the windows zip? Of course I do park in a garage, and have some terrific window flappy stopper thingies that I made to hold them partially open when needed. But they are just part of the Jeep "mystique" IMO! :D
