Help w/ cup holders

So I was taking out my center console on my 98 Sport and when it came time for me to unscrew the bolt located in the cup holder I noticed the PO had gorrila glued a nickel to the top of the bolt head :banghead:. I dont know why someone would do that but long story short I had to cut around the bolt hole to get the console out. Now I have a huge hole in my cup holder. Does anyone know where to get some rubber inserts that fit our Sports or is there a stock insert for these things? MY console has the 2 cup holders.
Thanks.

Mine has stock inserts. Try the junkyard or Daveys Jeeps....

Get yourself a cheap piece of rubber matting, and cut one out yourself. You could even use a place mat from Target, just flip it upside down, or paint it.

It couldn't cost that much, just order one from the dealership :)

Good call G-pur, a mouse pad cut to size would be good too....

And yeah Kate, but you know sometimes those dealers are awful proud of their stuff... :D Won't hurt to call and find out how much one would be...

Yes, I know they can be proud of stuff, but you never know until you ask!
Price quotes are usually free!

Then the OP wouldn't have to fuss with the whole "trying to get it cut to fit just right" thing.

I called my local dealership.
The parts guy said it is a discontinued part.
Takes two each, little round rubber pads.
part number: 5511 5669
There is a dealership in IL that supposedly has some their phone number is:
618-282-3170

I have a couple of "lucky nickels" in my cup holder. They're glued in with dried soda.

I found this very funny. So I'm not the only one then?!?! :D

I got in the Jeep the other night with a styrofoam cup full of coke....forgot I had a bottle already in the cupholder and therefore, I punched a hole directly in the bottom of the cup and had coke everywhere. :banghead: (No dome light unless I turn it on at the switch)

Guess that means that your Jeep isn't unmodded anymore.

1. Where can I get one ?

2. Is it easy to install ?

3. Will it improve gas mileage ?

Thanks.
