Anyone have 35x12.5x17

Anyone running 17 in rims with 35's. I would love to buy some new rims along with the tires I'll be purchasing next month. Been thinking about getting 17 inch rims with 35s.
Show me some pics if you got em. :wavey:

They are going to run you more. There really is no advantage to running 17's. Unless of course your going to run 37's then you really have no choice of going to 17's :D

KBR97 04-17-2010 10:49 PM

Yea I know the price in tires will rise. Im doing it more for looks really, Even though I should be building my jeep and spending my money on function.
Plus I figure if I ever wanted to run 37 I'll already have the right size rims, lol.

They will look cool for sure. In my nice little book MTR kevlars 35x12.5x17's are 60 bucks more then 35x12.5x15's lol.

Not really understanding the point of spending $240 more for tires than you need too, plus the cost and weight of bigger wheels, but it's your money........ If you'd care to spread the wealth, I'd only use it for upgrades for the Jeep... I take paypal :)

haha inferno- really you should just build it for 37's-- 37's are only 40 bucks more! I am going with 37's hehe

Well being that the total cost of rims and tires will most likely be somewhere around the 2k mark. A few hundred dollars extra to make the jeep more suitable to my own taste isnt a big deal for me. I wanna do it right the first time.

I have steel cragars right now, And If I go with 17's Im gonna go aluminum. So they will probably still be lighter than the steel 15s.

I didn't mean to offend you. Please disregard my snarkiness.. ;) I've been wheeling all day and drinkin since I got home... I guess my keyboard needs a breathalizer lock... ;)

I can't fault anyone for wanting to make their stuff their own, Lord knows I do... I hope you love your new wheels, and I wanna see pics! :D

I wish I had some walker Evans or aevs in 17". Either one of those are in my plans for the future.

KBR97 04-18-2010 10:56 AM

I like these....

aghostinside 04-18-2010 11:01 AM

Both are nice. Probably save a little money going with the m/t over the aev. I think the aev style is classic though.
