How do I disconnect my Fog lights?

'Sup everybody.

I own a 2001 Jeep Sahara Ed. with a fog light problem. The headlight knob has the switch pushed "in" for off, However, the Fog lights stayed on and killed my battery.

Now I went under the jeep and disconnected the plugs to the fog lights wich turned them off of course, however, the display showed the green fog light icon as still "on", which to my surprise still drained my battery.

How do I disconnect my fog lights completely, even on the dash to prevent my battery from being drained. I work everyday and don't have time to drive to the dealership at the moment. I know its something with the switch.

Thanks for any help.

To disconnect the fog lights, if they are stock ones, should be as easy as removing plug from the wire loom near the fener well. You should be able to see lom and follow to fog lights.

I'm not where I can look at my jeep, however I'm 80% sure there's a Fuse you can pull to disable the fogs entirely.....but I have a strange feeling there's something else going on.

Thanks Chris, I did that, however the fog light icon stays on as if the fog lights are still connected.

Thanks, I'm gonna check the fuse area now. I don't want another parking ticket! HA!

Got it, thanks for everyone's help.

I opened the fuse box in the engine (Right in front of the Battery) and found a Fuse for the Fog lights. The light on the dash went out.

So hopefully, This solves everything until I get to a dealership.

Thanks again.
