jeep smiles

I was just wondering, when I drive around with my jeep, I am aaaaal smiles:)
and when I see other 2-door jeeps, they all wave or thumb up etc. but when I see 4-door wranglers, they do not even look up smile or anything. it was just an observation from here in south florida, I hope not to offend anybody
:wavey:

Thats called The Jeep Wave! :)

I noticed that the majority of 4 door owners don't know about the Jeep wave and therefor don't wave

Its the same here in NW Fl. I think its because the 4 doors are almost hummers. LOL

I think you are right!

I agree. I love driving my old YJ around. No top no AC no problem...
I'll wave to you.

biffman 06-22-2010 11:29 AM

I'll be smiling and waving at all of you from behind the wheel of my 4 door Unlimited.:wavey:

drivebytruckerz 06-22-2010 11:32 AM

Yeah, it's not all JK owners.. these non wavers will eventually move on to a smoother riding, better on gas SUV and we'll all have used JK's to buy and love...

JIMBOX 06-22-2010 11:34 AM

:D I always wave at TJs, YJs-etc, because !!

I know, after their apprentiship, they'll graduate into

:rofl::rofl: JIMBO

InfernoGirl 06-22-2010 11:41 AM

All of the above, unless it was mean, (cause I didn't read all of em) :) But seriously, mostly I think it's due to the fact that several JK owners don't care about the Jeep community thing, it's just cool transportation for them. Also I'd imagine in FL especially that a lot of them are rentals, so not even real Jeep owners..... JMO.

I am starting to feel stupid, to wave or whatever and they look at me like I am a nut.
I am in south florida lets not forget. there are a few out there who wave, flash their lights or hunk their horn, but it is very rarely. whatever I Love My Jeep

SaharaCon 06-29-2010 02:03 AM

Im in South Florida in my little 2dr JK Sahara... im always the one waving with a grin... it does drive me nuts when i get the "are you insane" look from half the jeeps i wave to...

scottwmckenna 07-02-2010 04:50 PM

Please don't think this is TYPICAL 4 DOOR people. I have a 4 Door, and I get so excited every time I see another Jeep just to wave at. I think the main problem, and I've talked about this with other jeep people is that quite a bit of 4 door Jeep owners aren't Jeep enthusiasts. They bought the 4 door, because it was just like a bigger SUV, but don't realize the excitement behind the community.

When I pass someone in a jeep who doesn't wave, I get very annoyed. lol.

JIMBOX 07-02-2010 05:04 PM

:rolleyes: I think the reason most ofus JK "unlimited" owners don't wave is--

It takes both hands on the steering wheel to keep the instantaneous horsepower, under full control !!

Course, thats just me and my RUBI !!

:rofl::rofl: JIMBO

scottwmckenna 07-02-2010 05:04 PM

I love that response JIMBOX. HAHA

well, sort of. graduating does, in a way, imply getting older. so yes, when we "graduate" into senility and elderly age, we will move onto the JK. you know, when we need that squishy suspension and room for our walkers :D.

just kidding, bud. :):wavey:

JIMBOX 07-02-2010 05:31 PM

:cool:Different races and creeds have different ways of lodging compliments !!

I accept-thanx

:rofl::rofl: JIMBO

Karli 07-05-2010 07:21 PM

that's o.k jgano, because my JK has bluetooth and so does my walker.
"help I am falling and can't get up" :p;):D

Beach Rider 07-13-2010 08:00 PM

Just bought my first Jeep here in SW Florida and appreciate knowing the the YJ rules!!! I'll definitely wave back!!!!

SaharaCon 07-13-2010 08:06 PM

just put ur hand up and smile... if u get a weird look, put 4 fingers on that hand down.. lol

BrowniesJK 08-05-2010 08:57 PM

I agree that most people buying the 4dr are new to jeeping but please don't group all of us together. I pass plenty of TJ's that don't wave. It's like I tell my wife. If enough of us keep waving at them they will catch on. Keep waving.
