2010 rubicon shocks on 1997 wrangler
Has anybody tried it?
if so how much modification does it take?
my buddy is looking to sell his stock 2010 rubicon shocks and mine are shot so i was wondering if this could work?
I'm confused. :confused:
1997 = TJ
post in YJ section
Asking about JK shocks?????
The JK shocks are not just taller in general but not the correct fit to a TJ or YJ (whichever you may mean). To "make" them fit you would have to relocate the shock mounts to the length and distance of the JK's mounting locations. Also the Shocks are pressurized/valved to the JK's weight which is more than either the TJ or YJ's weight. The rubicon shocks are also slightly stiffer than the stock JK shocks.
Would be a BUMPPPPPPYYYY ride on a TJ or YJ.
Can it be done, sure, but don't think you'd like the outcome much.
