Soft top Q's

I'm searching around for a used frame for a soft top for my 98 TJ Sport, and possibly a used soft top. In my search I started wondering, what do most people do when they have full doors? Being that I have full doors, should I plan on buying half doors and then get the half door soft top pieces, or do they make the soft top cover for a full door? I really want to know what everyone else does in the warmer months. I'm still kinda new to this Jeep thing, so if you guys have any input it would be greatly appreciated!

my 99 TJ was hardtop only when I got her. What I did was buy the door surrounds and use a no drill header bar with the bikini/safari top, tonno cover and a wind jammer. It's protected enough if it rains plus if you choose, you can run it with any combination of the 3. I personally prefer it over the soft top hassels of window removal, zippers etc. It all comes down to what you like and your needs. If you want some pics of my set up let me know.

You can use any soft top with your full steel doors. And it looks good. So half doors are just an option. I run full steel, but tend to take my doors off in the summer (but it's an old CJ and not a daily driver). Whatever makes you happiest.

In addition to the frame, there are a few other hardware pieces you should try to get. The windshield header, the door surrounds, the tailgate bar, and the tailgate bar clips. You can replace all of these if needed, but it'll add to the cost.

You may also want to price out the new style fastback tops - like Bestop's Trektop. Price wise it might work out close to used hardware and new fabric.
