Yj grill with round headlights

Up for grabs is a YJ grill with round headlights.

I posted these pics in the builders corner part of this forum when my buddy and I did this to his YJ. We had several requests for these and made a few extra. I don't know if we will make more once these are gone.

A cj grill and a yj grill were merged together for the outcome you see iin the pics below. The grill wll be ready to bolt in with no fab work left for you to do except add your parts and paint. The red one shown is just for reference.

This grill outright is $725.00.
If you send me one of the two grils to replace one that I used it is $625.00
If you send me both grills this one is $525.00

Prices are plus shipping.

I am set up to take paypal under my ebay screen name (Lavern23) and have positive feedback on ebay. Please check me out.

$725.00 outright thats too rich for my blood, some of us bought our YJ's for a little over or under that. Good luck fellas and I do wish you well but I'll keep my squares. Darn I really wanted this grill, guess anything Jeep is really  in price and it seems everyone knows that.

Yes they are pricey outright but they are very labor intensive. They also require cutting up two grills to do the job. I have a friend that owns a too & die shop and took the pieces to him just to kick around having a die made if the interest was great enough and the price was 20k.

They are only $525.00 if you send me your parts.

I will also refund you the difference if you buy one outright and then send me your old one once you do the conversion on your end.

Thanks

$525 in labor and expense is not a bad price considering what all goes into making something of that caliber. bump for an innovative product.

Those look awesome! I already have round headlights on my TJ though.

sweet job there, I like it.

Personally, I'd put the money into a lift kit. But hey, it is a very cool product. I'd love to have round headlights, just not sure on justify'ing the expense.

Well I sold the ones I had converted and just made one for "cjays". It should ship out in the morning. We took 2 grills he sent me and then painted it to match the paint code from his jeep.

I would be happy to do them for those who are interested.

chadbrooks123@yahoo.com is my email and 502-552-6335 is my cell for those who have questions.

thanks,

Chad

What would you charge painted?

I have a 93 Sahara green yj. What would you charge for grill with round lights painted? Thanks

SteveS I don't know much about fashion but I do know that some jeepers have a definate opinion about the shape of thier headlights. We tackled the grill project because my friend with the red jeep had finished all the mods on his Jeep that he wanted to do (or thought he was done like most of us) and just liked the look of the cj grill better and having his Jeep already painted up with the Golden Eagle stuff and all we chose to try grafting the 2 grill together. After we did it we posted the pictures above to share and had several people who wanted one and others who wanted us to hand over our jeep keys because of how we had abused it. It just comes down to personal preferance.

I have had several inquires lately about the grills. One being if I am still doing them. Yes I will do them for those who want one. Thanks for the interest.

Where in Kentucky are you? I'm in Lexington. Not that I can really afford to do this, buy damn, thats sexy!

BlackedOutYJ 04-07-2011 09:08 PM

You'd think you get some paint on it for that price. 

lavern23 04-08-2011 09:16 AM

BlackedOutYJ I would be happy to send you one in the primer of your choice. I have had some comments such as yours but without the knowledge of the time and effort required to do one of these your comment is very valid. It takes about 8 hours to do one of these. That doesn't include the mock up/test fit of the lights mock up/test fit of the grill into a set of fenders.

Of the 12 grills that I have done for those interested they have all been very happy with the end result. No one has asked for money back. I do have the ability to finish paint them. I have finish painted 2 of them per request and shipped them with no problems.

Thanks for the interest.
