YJ speakers

Speakers and rear bumper are next, any comments / advice?

I'm replacing the stock soundbar speakers with these Alpine speakers:

Amazon.com: Alpine Type-R SPR-17S - Car speaker system - 110 Watt - 2-way - component - 6.5":

My YJ came with a decent Alpine head unit that has a removable face, paired with these new speakers it should sound good.

The rear bumper needs to be inexpensive and have a hitch to carry rod holders, I found this one:

Smittybilt 76750D - Smittybilt Classic Rear Bumper with 2" Receiver in Textured Black for 87-06 Jeep® Wrangler YJ, TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec

These tub bumper on quadratec is $10 cheaper then the one you were looking at ..

When you guys replaced your front speakers did you have to pull the dash? I'm gonna replace my front speakers tomorrow and was just wondering how big a deal it is. I was hoping to make quick work of it, but when I felt around there tonight, I don't think i have enuf room to get it done w/o moving things...

u do have to remove dash to reach front speakers
also i have alipne type r's 6x9 they are amazing but they are power hungry if you not going to amp them up it will sound like any aftermarket speakers i believe they are 100 watts rms

Good advice, I was planning on installing the speakers 1st and then add the amp if needed.

My jeep is "suppose to be" a low budget jeep for the beach, we'll be using it only 8-12 weeks out of the year when we are down there..........but....you know how that goes !

my suggestion will be just get any aftermarket speakers sony kenwood anything in sale lmaoo your only going to throw maybe 8 rms on a speaker that needs 100 rms I picked up 4 in speakers which i put on my sub box for only 25 dollars pioneer and it sound just like the 6x9 type rs without being amp also for an amp to power those type rs will get a lil expensive and i know those type rs cost money mine did

hey ur jeep looks nice be the way i love black yj
