finally

I finally got to take my jeep on the trails where I ride dirtbike... The bik got a flat and i didn't want to waste the day away. I was realy impressed with it. I didnt get stuck, didn't spin going over rocks, and i made it up over that little ledge in the picture. Had a blast

i have passed quite a few campers back in the woods, some tents, some small campers, there was a pretty big rig in the bigger parking lot of the place when i was there too.

its around minersville/ shamokin/ treverton PA, the town itself is treverton. Its about 10 mile up the highway from rausch creek and has great trails for just about everything. i have never had or seen anyone with a permit, but supposobly you can get them from the coal company up there for $100 a year, but I have never ran into any problems. However the trails are not marked, and there are no bathrooms except the woods  The wider trails are hard to get lost on because they either loop back around or come out to the main road after a bit, but there are tons of trails inbetween.

i live next to this area, and there are really two spots to go. where they are putting in the AOAA (anthocite outdoor adventure area) the other spot is up 125 alittle and on the left past the bus barn. keep going straight the paved road will turn to dirt and you are free to go where you please. the second site isn't "legal" per say. but there are usually people out there every day. weekends especially. usually every saterday in the summer there is a trail ride.
