Automotive grade glue

the rubber fitting that wraps around the frame where the windshield is is starting to come off. Anybody have any suggestions as to a good strong glue to use?

E6000 - I used it to glue hockey pucks to my spring perches to extend my bumpstops. Awesome stuff.

jasonbwell 05-17-2010 03:37 PM

i have this stuff called gorilla glue, any body ever used it?

drivebytruckerz 05-17-2010 03:44 PM

3M has anything you can think of.. ask at any auto body supply store.

Don't use Gorilla GLue, it expands as it dries...will not work for what you are wanting. you want something more automotive specific.

i'm not sure exactly what you're talking about, but it sounds like weather strip adhesive might be your ticket.

Trust me. E6000

is what he's describing something you want permanent, non removeable glue on?

pokey 05-17-2010 04:50 PM

Not to hijack, but what is the best stuff to glue the rear view mirror to the windshield. I never have put mine on the PO said it kept coming off?

E6000 is great for everything except Styrofoam. Works exceptionally well on rubber too.

Just don't sniff it.
