Duct tape?

Seriously - have you ever done any fiberglass work? It's not impossibly hard. Messy, which is bad, but the fumes get you high, which is cool.

I'm not an expert, but I bet you can find some help. Don't think of this as specific "jeep" issue - you've got cracked fiberglass, which is a boat problem, kit car problem, RV problem, etc...

There are several ways to fix this problem, fiberglass is the preferred method, but even then there are different alternatives, if you can post pictures you may get a little better advice... Try visiting a marine store they have several kits that are easy for DIY people. Also rather than fiberglass which is real messy, you can use fiberglass reinforced bondo which is also known as kitty-hair it comes in short strand and long strand. All depends on the type of break you have?

if you do fiberglass patching, a great tip is to use masking tape on the underside, tape the sh!t out of it undernieth. Then, do the repair to the top side and the tape will hold the resin into the crack and prevent it from dripping through to the bottom. When your done with that, flip it over, remove the tape and spread some fiberglass on the other side. Structurely, you could leave it this way. for cosmetics, you may want to sand it after a day or two and shoot some paint on 'er.

thanks guys for the help.. i think i might have found another top though keeping my fingers crossed that it won't be that expensive... a cousin's friend has it... if not. i will try to post some pictures.. not worried about "pretty".. the top is rhino lined so just put some more over it and looks like the rest of it.. haha... thanks though ;)
