longer shocks & no lift?

i'm in need of replacing my shocks. I want to(in the near future) go to 31x10.50's with a RE BB, but don't need the new tires just yet and I don't really want to put on the 2'' til i get the tires on. my question is, is it alright if i get the BB and use the shocks until i'm ready for the spacers? is it going to hurt anything or shorten the life of the shocks or anything?

Put them on and see what you think.. It should not hurt anything, if you don't like how it feels put the stockers back on, what tire size do you have now? Why not just put the BB on with your current tires.

You should be fine. You should have enough stroke left to absorb the amount of travel you have with no lift and stock tires.

they are the stock itty bitty tires and i just think it'd look funny with the little tires and the extra 2''

Hey, tjjeeperman. Why don't you give us an update on your tires? I'd like to know what you did?
?
?

Absolutely. Before you bolt 'em on, compress the new ones and compare the compressed length with your current shocks.

The only downside is if they don't compress as much and you drive hard, you could bottom on the shock rather than the bump-stops.

Just take it easy if they are longer when compressed and you will be fine until you get your tires and lift installed.
