Good step bars for under $200

Hi all, I am looking to add some tube step bars to my 2007 Rubicon. I would like some tubular 90 degree ones, and be textured and try and stay under $200.

Will these ones work, or is there a better deal out there to be had?

Thanks

It would work but you have a Rubi. It came with Rock Rails. Why would you add Tube Steps?

spleify 06-02-2010 01:54 PM

So it makes it easier for the wife to get in it. Can I add the step pads and keep the rock slides

spleify 06-02-2010 02:04 PM

And for aesthetics, the wife likes the way they look!

:D----NO, you can't, but

You can buy some Olympic "Rock Rails" for under $300 bucks and put some 3M anti-skid tape on top and they are perfect steps and also "sliders" for the rocks and tree stumps

My wife is 5'4" and has no trouble with my lifted JK !!

Jimbo, are those welded on or bolted on. It looks like they might welded to the stock rock rails. Either that or they replace the stock rails.

JIMBOX 06-02-2010 08:36 PM

:D They're not as heavy duty as welded one, but they do replace the stock rock rails !!

They are all powder coated and many bolts

They are very strong, I use my HiLift jack in the middle to rotate my tires !!

Good luck

Wow nice looking machine, thanks for the pics. WHat kind of roof rack is that? Does it just attach to the top? Where can I pick one of those up?

Thanks again!

JIMBOX 06-02-2010 10:54 PM

On the inside are brackets that it bolts too and they attach to the jeep tub, the rack will support over 700lbs and I've seen it withover 1100lbs on it

There's no strain on the top, it's all taken by the jeep tub

The rack is Canadian and is mbrpinc.com
They have full racks with baskets and a front light bar, you'll have to goto the website to see em, my jeeps in there advertisements

I don't know what the costs are now and my rack was the first prototype

The company has been dealing in exhaust and accessories for the US for a long time--good company
