Rhino Lining???

I was thinking about Rhino Lining the floor of my wrangler... has anyone done this or know if its even possable... the previous owner left the plugs out and so there is lots of rust under the carpet where water got up through, and i would like to just sand it all down and then put rhino lining or something similar through the whole thing instead of having the carpets in

Ya that would be great!!! did you do it yourself or have someone profesionally do it? I was going to try and tackle it this weekend, figuring it will take a little time

Alot of people do the herculine roll on bed liner. It's pretty simple. Just take out the seats, tape off everything you don't want painted, sand it down, clean it up, and paint. It takes most people about a day to do it then let it dry over night. Pretty simple like i said. I'm hoping to get it done this summer.

it doesn't start to peel or anything does it? 89PBR96 what did you do to prep the surface? just sand it down and paint on the stuff or was there more to it. i noticed you tack welded some pieces on, but other then that i mean

Kohrs93 06-02-2010 08:14 PM

If you do it right it doesn't peel. And I haven't done it yet, but i'm pretty sure for prepping you cleaned it up real nice, sand it down, clean it again, then paint.

Maina21 06-02-2010 08:19 PM

alright cool. we will see how it works i guess!!

booboy75 06-02-2010 08:35 PM

You have u raptor, herculiner and monstaliner. Herculiner used rubber particles and is rough. Monstaliner texture is in the brush or spray. Raptor is in the spray and brush also. I like Monsta and Raptor myself. Smoother finish to the touch. Herculiner constantly have to mix to spread particles. Chose what best for you.

I fixed rusty holes sanded all other parts cleaned it good only problem I got is I should have rolled it over the part you get in and out of other than that it has held up to a few trail rides brushed a few trees and hasn't peeled
