Need help to find Replacement front seats

The seats in my YJ are bent backwards too far. I have done a search already and have come up with manufacturers. I just want hi back gray no cloth basic seats. I havn't had any luck finding orgional seats.
1.Smitty Built the reviews say not good.
2.Bestop trail max are good
3.Rugged ridge seats are good
4.Rampage
I want to stay about $300-$350 for the pait.
My main concern is that some of the seats sit higher than other. I have a non-ajustable steering wheel so I want a seat that is lowest in seat stature without re-doing the brackets. I am a big guy.
Anybody with any of the OEM seats have a recomendation?

Thanks
Roger

Send pictures of your Jeep to the White House and maybe they'll just give you some out of the government allotment. Juuuuuuuuuust kidding.

I always have the best luck on craigslist or a dealer that sells mostly used Jeeps. I have a couple around here with little warehouses full of stuff they pull out of Jeeps they deal in.

The only complaint I've ever heard about our seats is that they sit higher than stock. I don't know how that compares the other seats you're looking at.

My cloth stock seats are ripped up and worn. I am trying to find the original seat covers (real covers, not slip on seat cover ups) but not having much luck. Looks like I'm going to have to just settle on replacement seats which in most cases are not as good as OEM.

I saw your earlier post, and wasn't sure how to help you. I have no idea what you're looking for, exactly. I do not think there is a product that is designed to re-cover your seats exactly like OEM.

There are certainly car upholstery places that can make your seats better than new, but I just can't think of any off-the-shelf solution.

Is there a reason you're not thinking about car seat upholstery?

How much higher do the Trail Masters sit? I am afraid it they are any higher my legs and torso will not fit between the seat and steering wheel.

Cheap and easy to find

I replace my TJ seats with Cherokee buckets, direct bolt on to the OEM brackets. HTH

here are some direct bolt in seats that are pretty cheap at your local wrecking yard. im using the cavalier seats . (this info is from anther site)

98 Cavalier SeatsSunfire: '95-'03, 2 Door only (4 door seats require some drilling)
Cavalier: '95-'03, 2 Door only (4 door seats require some drilling)'03 Cavi Write-up by instg8tor on Jeepforum
Sunbird: '99-'01, 2 Door only (4 door seats require some drilling)
Olds Acheiva: '96,'97
Grand Am: '95-'01
Grand Prix: '95-'01 (These WILL NOT direct bolt into a late 70's CJ.)

[edit]Notes
Most people who install the Sunfire/Cavalier/Sunbird seats use some sort of spacer with the rear bolts to raise the back up about 1/2". IF you do this, replace the OEM bolt with Grade 8 hardware due to the "Potential Shear Load" on that bolt.
There also seems to be some issues with the the different year Cavi seats. Some have good luck, some need to drill some holes.

Thanks for replying guys been a while since I posted this thread.
I picked up some on sale for $106 each delivered from JC Whitneys in July. I have had no problems with them. They do sit a little high for me however I compsated that with a 11 1/2" Grant steering wheel and kit for $60.00. (not pictured)
Life is good.

The JC Whitney route looks the best.
