I need some help

I recently got a 2002 jeep wrangler and im gonna get a 2" lift kit on it. What is the biggest tire size i can get on it? i plan on doing a little mudding, but nothing to serious. does anyone know any good lift kit brands that are relatively cheap?

First off welcome to the forum! Next about the lift you can pick up a Skyjacker 2'' lift for 261.99 W/Hydro Shocks! This is from www.Quadrayec.com

You could stuff 33s in ,but you will rub the fenders a great deal. 31's maybe 32's would look good.

I wouldnt go bigger than 32". Now if you want 33s, you could work that with a 1.25" body lift for a little over $100.

would the stock wheels be able to fit 32s? or would i need new ones?

I am running 31's on my 03 with no lift with after market wheels and have no rubbing issues so far and I have been out on the trails several times. Welcome to the club. Take your time and go wheeling with some groups and see what you want to do and it will also give you a chance to see other jeeps. You can spend a ton of money on the obsession so take your time so maybe you don't have to spend money on the same thing. A 2" lift maybe all you will ever need but you may want taller. Also bigger tires are going to effect your gearing. My 31's with 3.07 gearing gets by on the road though 5th gear is basically useless, In 4Low I have been doing fine for the trails that I go on. I want a lift but then I need to go to bigger tires but before I do that I need to deal with the gearing first.

I used to have a 2" BL with 32's and it was ok but a little tight. I would suggest 31's if you are going with just 2". As far as running 32x11.50's on the stock rims it will be tight. I am ditching my stock rims this month because they rub on my swaybar connects when I turn and not much room to flex in the rear w/out rubbing on the shock perch.

I would stay w/ 31's unless you want to invest more and start messing with gears, new rims and at least a body lift on top of that 2" BL to be able to run 32's or 33's.
