SoCal in Riverside/SanDiego or surrounding area......

Ok guys, come on. We have to organize something.

Post up days you think you can make a run and we'll see what we can set up.

I'm free most days between 10am and 2pm for close runs, and saturdays or sundays all day.

My jeep is stock, so I'm limited in my trails.

If you guys don't cooperate with me :D, I'll start to PM everyone on the Cali list. I'd like a group to go out with once a month or so.

***Mike are we still on for next Sunday the 28th, Palomar mountain? Brian, would that work for you?

iamagolfspaz 01-21-2007 08:37 PM

Hey terror
Next sunday sounds great.Just let me know where we shall meet up at.

Unlimited 01-22-2007 10:11 AM

Tiny,

What time? I might be able to make it on Sunday. I'll see if I can move some things to Saturday.

tiny terror 01-22-2007 10:36 AM

What's a good time? I'm free all day. When I did it last, we went out a around 9 and I was home by 1 or 2, I think.

If you guys want we can try a different trail. I believe I have the dinkiest jeep of the lot, but I heard Lawrence Welk has some places for the bitties to go around.

If we do decide on Palomar, Mike, let me look at a map so you don't have to drive all the way to Temecula if there's a shorter route to get there.

Unlimited 01-22-2007 11:10 AM

If we do Palomar, Mike can come over Hwy 371 to Hwy 79. We could meet up at the Junction.

If you want to do something different, we could do Bee Canyon from Hemet to Idyllwild. There is a turn-off that goes up to Indian Peak that is a little more chalenging for a side trip.

I'm up to trying Lawrence Welk also, I've never been down there. I can't find anything in any of my books for that area.

I'm still trying to move some things around on Sunday so I'll be able to go. I'll let you know.

iamagolfspaz 01-22-2007 11:11 AM

9 Sounds good to me.I dont mind meeting everyone in Temecula. Its not THAT far.

tiny terror 01-22-2007 01:46 PM

Then Mike, it's a yes for Palomar on Sunday, but if Brian can go, we have a choice of other trails. I haven't found Lawrence Welk, but I'm sure I can find directions.

9 is cool with me. And, Brian, if you want to do Palomar, we can meet at 79south and Anza then drive down and meet up with Mike, unless he wants to meet up in Temecula, but it seems out of the way for him.

I know exactly where Palomar is, so that one's easy.

There are directions to Lawrence Welk on the Just Runs site, as well as directions to lots of SoCal trails. Check it out- I downloaded and printed them out a couple years back. The directions are excellent for getting to the trails.

Chad

Thanks Chad. That's where I thought it was.

Wanna join us? I'm going to start pestering everyone in the area until we eventually have a group to go out with (I'm really making sure I have help when I buy my lift kit ;))

iamagolfspaz 01-23-2007 07:26 PM

I knew it. Terror just wants us for our mechanical skills.(Or lack of in my case).I will bring the pizzas.

tiny terror 01-23-2007 08:00 PM

I have all the tools. I just need a hammer right?? A sledge? Some duct tape? A little spit and a paperclip?

iamagolfspaz 01-23-2007 08:04 PM

I have a half full box of nails that might be usefull.

tiny terror 01-23-2007 08:07 PM

I have a chainsaw... to take the tires off of course....

iamagolfspaz 01-23-2007 08:11 PM

Glue.We need lots of Glue

tiny terror 01-23-2007 08:16 PM

Elmers? Or the booger kind.... rubber cement?

iamagolfspaz 01-23-2007 08:23 PM

Gotta go with the booger kind. Has better stretch.

iamagolfspaz 01-23-2007 08:26 PM

Be right back...Gotta go soak these old bones in the HotTub.

tiny terror 01-23-2007 08:32 PM

Hahahaha, that sounds like a great idea. Too bad I need all the propane in the tank to fire my kiln this week.

iamagolfspaz 01-23-2007 08:48 PM

Do you use 30 lb tanks?

tiny terror 01-23-2007 08:49 PM

um.... I have a 150 I think... plus a 250 for the house, and another 150 on the other side of the yard.

iamagolfspaz 01-23-2007 08:51 PM

Well now i know where i can go to fill my 30,s up.

tiny terror 01-23-2007 08:55 PM

You do and I'll beat the hell out of you. Those things aren't cheap to fill and my kiln uses up about 10%.

iamagolfspaz 01-23-2007 08:58 PM

It costs me 21 bucks to fill my 30 lb. I have 2 and i fill them up every 2 weeks or so in the winter.

tiny terror 01-23-2007 09:04 PM

But I have a total of 550 gallons. Haven't fired up the tub this winter at all. Just haven't felt like it.

iamagolfspaz 01-23-2007 09:07 PM

So what do you use the Kiln for? Getting rid of the bodies? LOL

tiny terror 01-23-2007 09:11 PM

I can do that, no problem, but I'm a potter. I make pottery. Full time now that I'm not allowed to fight anymore.

iamagolfspaz 01-23-2007 09:18 PM

And where may i purchase your wares?

tiny terror 01-23-2007 09:22 PM

No place quite yet. I'm in the process of reopening my business. But, you'll be seeing some special pieces here on the forum in the next week or so I'm thinking.

I'm hoping to have a couple of places here in Temecula sell my stuff soon, and I'll looking for a restaurant in LA that will use my work.

iamagolfspaz 01-23-2007 09:25 PM

When you start to sell,i want first dibs.

tiny terror 01-23-2007 09:26 PM

Hahahaha, deal. I'm making giant coffee mugs right now.
