Drivers door wont open fron the inside

My drivers door will not open from the inside, I need to unzip the window nd open it from the outside to get out. I hope this is an easy fix once I get the interior door panel off.

I had the same issue with my passenger door. Take the inside door handle out and check to see that the two rods are connected to the handle. One rod is for the lock and the other is for the door release. There is two plastic keepers that hold the rods in place. One of mine broke and I found a replacement at a body shop

Thanks. Now all it needs to do is cool down. Noon here and over 100 today.

If you can cut and paste this address

1999 Jeep TJ Wrangler Service Manual - 23. Body

It tells how to get to, and lubricate, the lock on a 99 TJ but I'm sure it's the same on yours. The full door directions start on page 22. Sorry, I can't remember if the half door directions were before or after. Hope this helps.

It's just telling you that it's summer and it's time for it to be removed! :) Sorry that wasn't helpful.

Thanks. I have the fsm for my year. I have half doors and will take a look inside this week.

Found the problem. The plastic clip that holds the rod to the handle broke. Wired it for now and will order a couple from the dealer.
