Dual top group questions

Ive been looking at 2010 unlimited models and am not clear on the "dual top group" option. According to the sticker on every model i look at, the sunrider soft top is standard. On the sport model, I have seen the Black freedom top listed as an option ($735). Other models show the dual top group as an option for $1625? Isn't this the same as having the soft top and hard top?
Why would I want this?

Dual top group means just that. You get the soft top and the hard top. Depending on what widow stick you are looking at it will always say one is standard. Bottom line is if you want both tops then this is the best way to get them.

I work at a Jeep Dealership and the hard top alone is going to be around $2,300 give or take on the place you buy it. Soft top is going to be around $1,200 again give or take. Makes sense to buy the dual top group if its on the jeep you want.

Just fyi when you see freedom top for $735 that is just the hard top and you do not get the soft top with the jeep for that price. I bought mine like that and now wish I would have got the dual top group but live and learn.

Dual Tops

Go with the dual tops, that was a must when I was looking for my 2010. The hard top stays on in the winter and the soft top goes on in the summer. Hard top makes for better security if you carry valuables. The soft top is a great improvement over the soft top on my 79 CJ7, lots quieter and easier to take down and put up.

dual tops is a must in my eyes. but then again i have yet to even put my soft top on yet because i love the hard top so much.

What? I thought the soft top is standard. It's listed under "exterior features", sunrider soft top. Are you saying that the items listed on the sticker are not always accurate?

if you get the hard top option the soft top goes away. you get it back if you order dual top

That's the correct answer. I'm the opposite of what most have said. My Jeep had a dealer added hard top that I had them delete. I run the soft top all year.

We just got ours 1 month ago and it had the dual tops allready own it. The hard top was the freedom top and the T-tops come out with no problem. As a matter of fact we took them out on our way home from the dealer.

The hard top is now hanging in the garage and all we are running is the soft top.It is real easy to let up and down or just let back part of way with the sunrider option. In my opinon Jeep got it right with the dual top option. The hard top will go back on this winter.

X2 Except my Jeep is a TJ and the hard top is one piece.
